In a lop-sided win the Chainsaw Proctologists ripped the Streator Reds by a 8
to 2 count.
Chainsaw took the lead for good in the 6th inning scoring 3 runs on 3 hits.
After an out was recorded, Andres Torres opened up the rally as he doubled.
Carlos Ruiz was next and he lined a one-base hit. Maicer Izturis then
blasted a two-run home run. Howie Kendrick was next to the plate, but was
promptly struck out. Juan Pierre got his chance to keep things going, but he
went down on strikes. Chainsaw had 16 hits for the game and Streator had 8.
Tony Sipp(1-1) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Sipp got
help from Brandon Medders who earned his 4th save. Jeremy Sowers(1-8) was
given the loss. He was knocked around by Chainsaw, allowing 9 hits and 4
walks in 5 and 1/3 innings.
With this win, Chainsaw has a 20-29 record. They have been 3-7 lately. With
the loss, the Streator ballclub's record is 16-33.
